MINDSING GLOBAL NEWS PORTAL

This experiment was stopped on August 23, 2010. The idea was essentially to have a place that was relatively accessible to archive the news stories I found to be interesting. Though the collected items consequently reflect my own biases it was hoped that just posting information alone would bolster the idea that my understandings had merit and the data backing up my contentions could be easily located with help of this portal. After starting this I learned of Douglas Engelbart's idea of a dynamic knowledge repository. This is a contradiction in terms. Both "knowledge" and "repository" are narrowing of concerns. Upon mentioning that what we needed instead of Engelbart's DKR was a profusion of dynamic information distributories an acquaintance mentioned the acronym, DID. This news portal was meant to be an instance of a DID. Perhaps it will be restarted when there is enough time and interest.
